Usage Areas

MegaFilm A901; Used to reduce the water absorbency of mineral-based surfaces such as concrete, gas concrete, plaster, screed, gypsum and to get the surface prepared for the application or before the application of coating materials, ceramic adhesives, waterproofing products, leveling screed and self-dispersing screeds. Suitable for use on horizontal and vertical surfaces both indoors and outdoors.

  Application Procedure

  Surface Preparation :
  • The surface must be dry, clean, solid and be freed from dust. Oil, dirt or materials that prevent adhesion must be removed from the surface and if there is a non-mineral based material on the surface, must be scraped off the surface.
  • Repair of surface defects with a depth more than 1 cm should be done 6 – 8 hours before application with MegaTamir İ T101 or MegaTamir K T102. In cases where structural repair mortar is required to be used, MegaTamir İ Yapısal T103 or MegaTamir K Yapısal T104 should be applied.
  • MegaTamir Grout T105 or fast setting MegaTamir T107 should be used for filling deep gaps and where the use of a trowel would be difficult.

  Application Methods :
  • MegaFilm A901 should be shaken before application and applied to the surface homogeneously with a brush or a roller.
  • The product should be applied to the entire surface with a roller or brush and there should be no dry areas left. Consumption must be increased at the points where rapid absorption is observed.
  • Not suitable for use on non-mineral based surfaces.
  • Excess MegaFilm A901 on the surface should be removed with a damp brush.

  Application Suggestions:
  • The product should be kept in a homogeneous state by mixing at intervals if necessary during the application.
  • MegaTamir A901 is a ready-to-use product. No other material should be added during the application.
  • Water should not be added to the product and diluted.
  • The material should not be applied on unstable surfaces. The soundness and bearing capacity of old surfaces should be checked before application.
  • The surface should be protected from air currents during and after the application and its contact with water should be prevented.
  • The product should not be applied on surfaces that bear a risk of frost, that is frozen or with melting ice within 24 hours.
  • Attention should be paid not to expose the material to direct sunlight in hot weather.
  • The product should not be applied on extremely windy or hot surfaces exposed to direct sunlight. If there is a necessity for application in these environments, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application before starting.
  • The application should not be done in rainy weather and the application surface should be protected from rain for 12 hours.

  Surface and Ambient Temperature
  The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C during application.
