Usage Areas
MegaFilm İzo Epo is, basically used as primer for such non-absorbent surfaces as aluminum, steel, asphalt, glass and ceramic, prior to the application of polyurethane based water materials and polyurethane joint filling. Moreover, the product is suitable for use on concrete surfaces with humidity by up to 10 %.

Concrete slabSurface Preparation :
• The application surface should be dry, clean, sound and dust free, and should have been cleansed of oil, dirt or any materials that may prevent adhesion, and any such materials as mortar and cement residues should be scraped from the application surface.
• The surface, on which MegaFilm İzo Epo is to be applied, should strictly not be washed with water.
• The surface defects, which are deeper than 1 cm, should be repaired with MegaTamir Epo, MegaTamir EpoGrout or MegaTamir K 24 hours in advance. In the cases, where structural repair mortar should be used; MegaTamir K Yapısal should be preferred.Application Methods :
• MegaFilm İzo Epo should be applied with a roller or brush homogenously to completely cover the surface.
• Once MegaFilm İzo Epo is applied, Megaİzo PU 6, Megaİzo PU 7, Megaİzo Pu 10, Megaİzo PU 15 or Megaİzo PU Mastik should be applied within 8 – 12 hours (maximum 24 hours) while the product is still mildly adhesive.
• MegaFilm İzo Epo should be applied in double coats if the surface is extremely rough and vulnerable.
• The secondary coat should be applied within 8 to 12 hours (maximum 24 hours) when the primary coat is observed to change into transparent from milk white in color.Application Recommendations :
• The product should be kept homogenous by, where necessary, stirring it intermittently during the application.
• The product should, once mixed, be used before the expiration of its pot life. Any product, the pot life of which has expired, should not be used during the application. Epoxy based products have limited pot lives; therefore, due consideration should be given to the fact that the pot life and dry times would shorten at high temperatures and lengthen at low temperatures.
• Any foreign material should not be added into the product during the application.
• The product should not be applied on unsound surfaces. The soundness and the load bearing capacity of old surfaces should be checked prior to adhesion.
• The surface should be preserved from air currents and water contact during and after the application.
• The product should not be applied to such surfaces, which are exposed to risk of freezing within the next 24 hours, which are frozen or the frost of which is thawing.
• Due care should be taken to ensure that the material is not exposed to direct sunlight in hot weather conditions, and the product should be mixed with cold water.
• The product strictly not be applied at such times of the day when the surface is exposed to direct sunlight through steep angle.
• The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application in advance.
• The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface should be preserved from rain for a period of 12 hours.

The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C whilst at application.
