    Mixing RatioThe product should be mixed with water, weighing equal to 20 – 23 % of the product. (4.0 – 4.6 liters of water for a 20 kg package)
    Mixing Period
    The product should be stirred with a low-speed mixer until any dry dust and globs are eliminated. The mortar should, then, be stirred once again for 1 to 2 minutes after being had settled for 5 to 10 minutes following preparation.

    Application Procedure

      Surface Preparation :
      • The surface coating materials should have been bonded minimum 24 hours in advance.
      • Joint application should not be initiated before the adhesive is completely dehydrated.
      • Coating surface and joint gaps should have been cleaned and cleansed of oil, dirt and dust.
      • The joint gaps should be moisturized in order to maintain the fixed water absorption of vertical and horizontal parts.

      Application Methods :
      • MegaFuga Rustik D106 should be filled into joint gaps with a joint trowel or a caulking gun with due attention not to contaminate the surface of the coating material.
      • The residuary on the mortar’s surface should be scraped with a soft tip scraper or a scraper with moisturized sponge on the tip. In the case of the applications between face tiles, the surface of the joint filler should be shaped with a hand tool with round tip.
      • Surface smoothening should be performed before the product completely dries.

      Application Recommendations :
      • Such cleaning supplies as bleach, hydrochloric acid and lime remover should not be used in order to ensure that the joint fillings are not damaged. The joint gaps are recommended to be cleaned with MegaClean K902.
      • The product should, once mixed, be used before the expiration of its pot life. Any product, the pot life of which has expired, should not be used during the application.
      • Any such foreign substance as lime, cement or plaster should not be added to the mortar prepared.
      • Any extra water should not be added to the mixture.
      • The product should not be applied on unsound surfaces. The soundness and the load bearing capacity of old surfaces should be checked prior to adhesion.
      • The surface should be preserved from air currents and water contact during and after the application.
      • The product should not be applied to such surfaces, which are exposed to risk of freezing within the next 24 hours, which are frozen or the frost of which is thawing.
      • Due care should be taken to ensure that the material is not exposed to direct sunlight in hot weather conditions, and the product should be mixed with cold water.
      • The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application in advance.
      • The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface should be preserved from rain for a period of 24 hours.

      Surface and Ambient Temperature
      The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +30°C whilst at application.
