Usage Areas
- Megaİzo S201; it is appropriate for use on all buildings as a horizontal barrier against humidity, i.e. particularly on balconies to be left exposed without covered with any other coating material; flat and inclined terrace roofs; top of parking lots; swimming pools; building foundations and shear walls; waste water treatment plants as water insulation material, at the junctions of brick wall and concrete. It is suitable to use on horizontal and vertical surfaces indoor and outdoor.

Mixing Duration
It should be mixed by help of a low speed mixer so that no dry powder and lump remain. After resting the mortar for 3 – 4 minutes, it should be mixed again for 1 – 2 minutes prior to application. Product should be mixed occasionally during application.

• Surface should be dry, clean, sound and dust-free and any grease, dirt and materials preventing adhesive should be removed off the surface and materials such as remnants of mortar and cement should be scraped off.
• Repair of surface defects not deeper than 2 cm should be made with MegaTamir İ or MegaTamir K 6 – 8 hours ago. If structural repair mortar is required to be used, you should use MegaTamir İ Yapısal or MegaTamir K Yapısal.
• For continuity of insulation, edge and corner joining points should be chamfered with repair mortar MegaTamir İ and MegaTamir K.
• When chamfering is inapplicable, Megaİzo Bant should be applied at weak points in terms of water impermeability such as edge-corner joints.
• Following surface repair and cleaning, the surface should be made damp with clean water for enhancement of adhesion strength and stabilization of surface absorption. In case of highly porous and highly absorbent surfaces, the primer MegaFilm should be applied in one coat for stabilization of surface absorbance, allowing it to dry for 1-2 hours.
• In case of gas concrete surface, surface preparation should be made by applying Megaİzo S201 in one coat with trowel before proceeding to the application.Application Methods :
• Megaİzo S201 duly mixed should be applied to the surface in minimum two coats to form a dry film thickness of minimum 2 mm. After the first coat gets dry, the second and further coats should be applied perpendicular to the previous application.
• After application of the first coat, you should proceed to apply the second coat after about 2 hours.
• In case of coating operation on the insulation, you should use adhesives from high performance Class C2 and S1/S2 as per the standard TS EN 12004 as adhesive on the floors insulated against water.Application Recommendations :
• Surface should be made smooth and inclined in such a way to prevent water accumulation on it.
• Proper abrasive equipment should be used for roughening on the non-absorbent surfaces such as aluminium and steel.
• After mixed, the product should be used before expiration of its pot life. During application, never use any products that have expired their pot life.
• You should not allow inclusion of any foreign material into the mixture except for the components of the product.
• No application should be made on any unsound surfaces. Soundness and bearing capacity of the old surfaces should be inspected prior to application.
• Surface should be protected against air drafts during and after application and water contact should be prevented during the first 2 hours after application.
• It should not be applied on the surfaces with freezing possibility within 24 hours, frozen or thawing.
• Make sure the material is not exposed to direct sunlight when the weather is hot.
• No application should be made on the surfaces which are subject to extreme wind or direct sunlight. If you have to apply under such conditions, surface and ambient should be made ready for application before starting.
• You should not apply it when it is rainy and surface should be protected against rain minimum 2 hours after application.
