Usage Areas

• MegaTamir T503 provides adhesion of the existing concrete with the new concrete. It is used for adhesion of concrete, stone, metal, wood, mortar, brick, prefabricated concrete, epoxy and CTP parts among themselves and with each other. It is used for adhesion of metal profiles with concrete and among themselves. It is used for repair of non structural concrete. It is suitable for use on horizontal and vertical surfaces of indoors and outdoors spaces.

    Mixing RatioComponent A (2,5 kg) and component B (1,25 kg) should be mixed completely.

    Application Procedure

    • Application Surfaces

      Surface Treatment:
      • Any water, ice parts, deposits, dust, grease and oil, construction debris and bitumen should be removed from the application surface. Cement grout should be cleaned and made rough by means of mechanical methods such as surface wire brush. Corrosion, if any, on the steel surfaces should be cleaned off mechanically.
      • If it will be used to repair non-structural cracks and cavities on horizontal surfaces, such cracks and cavities should be cleaned by pressure air prior to application.
      • Surface of the old application surface should have minimum compressive strength of 30 N/mm².

      Application Methods:
      • After stirred, the product can be applied to the surface with brush, roller or spray. In case of damp surfaces, ensure absorption of the product by the surface using the brush.
      • New concrete should be casted prior to expiration of working time of MegaTamir T503.

      Application Recommendations:
      • MegaTamir T503; increased consistency may be observed with the products stored in cold air. In such cases, the product should be received into a warm place 24 hours prior to application or keep it in a container full of warm water before stirring in order that the product restores to its normal consistency.
      • After stirring, the product should be used in the range of the pot life. Never use the products if their pot life has expired at time of application. Pot life and working life of the epoxy based products reduce in the warm and increase in the cold depending on the ambient humidity and temperature. To get the most out of the application, you should work under the recommended surface and environmental conditions.
      • Never add any foreign material into the mixture during application other than the components of the product.
      • It should not be applied on the unsound surfaces. Check the old surfaces for soundness and bearing capability prior to the application.
      • Surface should be protected against air currents and contact with water should be prevented during and after the application.
      • It should not be applied on any surface which is likely to get frozen in 24 hours or has risk of freezing or thawing.
      • Make sure the product is not exposed to direct sunlight when the weather is hot.
      • While low temperatures slow down the setting, high temperatures increase it. In order to apply the mortar most efficiently, you are recommended to comply with the specified temperature range.
      • It should not be applied to the surfaces which are excessively windy or directly exposed to the sunlight; and if it is inevitable to apply it under such conditions, the environment and surface should be made proper for application.
      • It should not be applied when it is rainy; and the application surface should be protected against rain for 24 hours.

      Surface and Ambient Temperature
      The surface and ambient temperature should be between +10°C and +35°C whilst at application.
