Usage Areas

• MegaZemin Kur is applied to ensure fresh concrete, trowel coating and surface hardeners to be cured, ideally. The product is applied in indoors and outdoors spaces in order prevent the fast evaporation of the mixing water, the formation of contraction cracks on the surface and the dusting through the enhancement of the abrasion resistance. The product is suitable for use for the curing of vertical and horizontal construction elements, in high rise buildings, where water curing is challenging, for airport and field concretes, for canal and flume concretes and in concrete casting in such spaces with low humidity and high air currents.

    Application Procedure

    • Application Surfaces
      Indoors and Outdoors Floors;
      Cement based trowel coating
      Fresh concrete surfaces,
      Concrete surface hardener applied surfaces (suitable for use on outdoors floors.)
      MegaZemin Kür should be used to ensure protection of the surfaces from such factors as temperature, humidity and wind and the maintenance of curing.

      Surface Preparation :
      • The fresh concrete should have been completely prepared for application through appropriate surface finishing.
      • The surface should be sound, open-pore and clean.
      • The application surface should not be exposed to frost hazard.
      • The surface should have been cleansed from exudation water, oil and any loose materials, surface contaminants and cement grout, and should have reach the adequate strength.

      Application Methods :
      • The product should be applied subsequently to the completion of the leveling of fresh concrete surfaces, to which MegaZemin BYS has been applied. The product should be applied by low-pressure spraying to form a homogenous and continuous film layer.

      Application Recommendations :
      • Local accumulation should not be allowed during the application.
      • The concrete surface should not be opened for walking until MegaZemin Kür completely dries.
      • A secondary coat application is recommended for a more effective and aesthetically pleasing appearance. The primary coat should have lost its adhesiveness before the secondary coat application.
      • The product is a ready to use product and should not be diluted with water.
      • The product should not be applied to such surfaces, which are exposed to risk of freezing within the next 24 hours, which are frozen or the frost of which is thawing.
      • Due care should be given to prevent the exposure of the product to direct sunlight in hot weather conditions.
      • The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application in advance.
      • The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface should be preserved from rain for a period of 24 hours.

      Surface and Ambient Temperature
      The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C whilst at application.
