Usage Areas
- MegaZemin Z501; is used in spaces exposed to moderate to severe mechanical influences such as multi-storey and underground car parks, storage areas, maintenance hangars; in places where chemical resistance is desired such as laboratories and also in places where aesthetics, easy maintenance and cleaning is important such as shopping malls, exhibitions and fairs and that is not exposed to sunlight. It is used indoors, on horizontal surfaces.

Mixing Equipment
• Low speed electric mixer (300 – 400 rpm.)
Mixing Time
Component A should be mixed with a low speed mixer until it appears homogenous. After resting for 15 – 20 sec., the Component B should be added slowly into the Component A and the mixing process should be continued continuously and the mixture should be mixed until it becomes homogeneous. In order to increase the application thickness, the recommended amount of 0.1 – 0,3 mm K907 silica filler can be added to the A + B mixture . In this case, K907 silica filler should be added to the homogenized A + B mixture and mixed. After mixing, it is recommended to take it to another container and mix it again for 2 minutes.
Excessive mixing causes the formation of bubbles, as it will drag too much air into the product. Therefore, special attention should be paid to the use of a low-speed mixer.

Equipment Cleaning
• After application, the product on the equipment used should be cleaned with cellulosic thinner before drying. Application Procedure
- Application Surfaces
Indoor Floor;
• Concrete ( MegaFilm A502 or MegaFilm A504 primer applied)Surface Preparation:
• The surface should be dry, clean, firm and free of dust; oil, dirt or materials that prevent adhesion should be cleaned from the surface; substances such as mortar, cement residues should be scraped.
• Before the primer application on the surface, an open porous structure should be created on the cement top layer by using surface abrasive equipment (shotblast, rototiger, etc.). Emerging dust must be cleaned with an industrial broom.
• The abraded concrete surface must have a minimum compressive strength of 25 N/mm 2 and a tensile strength of minimum 1,5/mm 2 .
• Before application, it must be ensured to meet the requirements for surface humidity, relative humidity and dew point. Otherwise, the desired performance criteria cannot be obtained from the product as a result of the carbonation reaction that will occur on the surface .
• The moisture content of the surface should be a maximum of 4%.
• Relative humidity should be a maximum of 80%.
• Before and after the application, the dew point should be above +3°C in order to prevent the formation of condensation.
• New concrete structures should be left to dry for a minimum of 28 days.
• Repair of surface defects with a depth of more than 1 cm should be made with MegaTamir Epo T501 or MegaTamir EpoGrout T502 before 6-8 hours.
• After surface cleaning, it should be primed as single or double with MegaFilm A504 primerdepending on the condition of the surface on the subsiding grounds with waterproof applications were performed with Megafilm A502 primer in order to increase the bond strength and balance surface absorbancy or to meet the requirements of the waterproofing regulation on buildings and on the places having moisture barrier constructed. Depending on the porosity and structure of the surface, floor leveling can be done with the addition of filler.
• Minimum 20 minutes after the primer application, the adhesion strength of the floor covering to be applied after it should be increased by sandblasting with suitable filler until the product reaches saturation. Please refer to the expenditure/consumption table for the recommended amount of filler.
• In order to go into the MegaZemin Z501 application, the sandblasted primer must have gained its hardness. Please refer to the technical data sheet of the primer used, as the temperature and the opening time may change.
• After primer sandblasting, the non-adhering fillings should be removed by sweeping or using an industrial broom.Application Method :
1- Self Leveling Sistem
• Intermediate coat is applied with MegaZemin Z501, which is mixed with filler in the ratio of 1:2.
• The mixture of prepared Megazemin Z501 is poured onto the surface and spread to the surface with the help of a triangular toothed trowel.
• By passing through the spiked roller perpendicular to each other, it should be ensured that the remaining air bubbles are removed and the coating thickness is balanced.
• Check the consumption table for the process steps.2- Multilayer Sistem
• It is the recommended system for a thicker and stronger surface.
• MegaFilm A502 or MegaFilm A504 primer mixed with filler in the ratio of 1:1 is applied to the surface.
• Sprinkle sand application is made on it.
• MegaFilm A502 or MegaFilm A504 primer mixed with filler in the ratio of 1:1 is applied on the spreading sand .
• Sprinkle sand application is made again.
• The mixture of prepared Megazem Z501 is poured onto the surface and spread to the surface with the help of a triangular toothed trowel.
• By passing through the spiked roller perpendicular to each other, it should be ensured that the remaining air bubbles are removed and the coating thickness is balanced.
• Check the consumption table for the process steps.Application Recommendations :
• Materials to be used in order to reduce the negative effects of thermal difference should be brought to the application area before 24 hours.
• It should be taken into consideration that pot life and working time of epoxy based products will be shortened at high temperatures and extended at low temperatures, depending on the ambient humidity and temperature.
• In order to open the application area to pedestrian traffic, after the completion of the product application, it should be adhered to the drying times.
• Ambient temperature and humidity should be kept under control during opening to pedestrian traffic.
• The mixture should never be made by hand.
• Smoothness should be provided to prevent water accumulation on the application surface.
• After mixing, the product should be used within its pot life. During the application, products that have expired their pot life should never be used.
• During application, no foreign materials should be added to the mixture, except for the components of the product and the recommended filler.
• Only K907 filler should be added to the mixture, and the recommended ratios should not be exceeded.
• It should not be applied on non-solid surfaces. The stability and bearing of old surfaces should be checked before application.
• Before, during and after application, the surface should be protected from air currents; it should be protected from contact with water and condensation for 24 hours.
• It should not be applied on surfaces that are frozen, unfreezing or in danger of frost within 24 hours.
• It should be noted that in hot weather the material is not exposed to direct sun rays.
• Application should not be done on hot surfaces with extreme wind or direct sun, if there is an obligation to apply in these environments, the environment and surface should be ready for application before starting.

Surface and ambient temperature must be between +10°C and +30°C.
When deemed necessary, the environment should be heated with electrical heaters. The use of heaters operating with combustion system is not recommended as it will cause pollution on the surface.
