  Technical Informations

  • ConsumptionAt least 2 K908 Gauge Wedge should be used at the beginning and end of the applied coating material. The number of gauge wedges used can be increased depending on the size of the coating material.

    Application Procedure

    • Application Recommendations:

      • If to be used under the ceramic tile, the height of the first horizontal row of ceramic wall tiles should be determined by using laser or water gauge.
      • According to this height, for the first row of the ceramic coating in the horizontal direction, the ceramic adhesive should be applied to the coating surface and to the wall surface with a notched trowel chosen according to the ceramic tile size and the structural condition of the surface.
      • According to the specified height line, the coating material should be placed on the surface and it should be ensured to be placed on the surface with a rubber-end mallet.
      • At least two K908 Gauge Wedge should be placed between the bottom edge of each ceramic coating material and the floor.
      • The K908 Gauge Wedge should be turned clockwise on the floor until it touches the lower edge of the ceramic coating.
      • If the distance between the floor and the bottom edge of the ceramic tile is more than 30 mm, more than one K908 Gauge Wedge should be used by piling.
      • If to be used under the horizontal block, the height of the horizontal gauge from the ground should be determined and if necessary, materials such as gas concrete, brick, pumice stone should be placed between the bottom edge surface of the gauge and the floor to measure the rough height. The K908 Gauge Wedge must be placed between the bottom edge of the gauge and the solid and load-resistant gas concrete, brick, pumice stone or slab and the gauge should be rotated clockwise to fine-tune the height and balance.
      • After waiting for the drying time specified in the instructions of the adhesive mortar chosen according to the surface condition and ceramic coating material, the K908 Gauge Wedge should be removed by turning counterclockwise.
      • The K908 Gauge Wedge can be reused by washing with water if necessary, for the next use.

      Surface and Ambient Temperature:
      • The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C during application, taking into account the coating application.
