Usage Areas

• Megaİzo Bant PVC S911 is used to provide water impermeability in structures with high movement such as bridges, viaducts, underground constructions, water channels, water treatment plants, swimming pools, retaining walls, floor slabs and foundations that are constantly exposed to water. It prevents deformations that may occur in structures exposed to horizontal or vertical movements. The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use on horizontal and vertical surfaces.

      Surface Preparation
      • The surface must be dry, clean, sound and free from dust, oil, dirt or materials that prevent adhesion must be removed from the surface, and materials such as mortar, cement residues must be scraped off.

      Implementation Methods
      • The products are used vertically or horizontally in construction cold joints, between the joints of the base concrete and the curtain concrete, or between the curtain concretes. After the base bars and curtain bars are made, Megaİzo Bant PVC S911 is placed exactly in the center of the curtain bars and it is ensured that it stands upright. For this, it is important to make a tight connection to the reinforcement through the holes on the edges.
      • The formwork should be in two parts for vertical and horizontal joints. Before the first layer concrete pouring, Megaİzo Bant PVC S911 is placed, the reinforcements are connected to the reinforcements through holes at 50 cm intervals on the edges, half of the Megaİzo Bant PVC S911 remains in the first layer and the other half remains between the second layer concrete.

      Recommendations for Implementation
      • Tapes should be welded to each other with welding devices from the faceplates, absolutely no overlapping should be done.
      • Joining parts are used to join PVC waterproofing tapes to each other at the corners. Adding parts should be done with a welding device and there should never be a joint without welding.
      • Special corner pieces should be used for corner turns.
      • More vibration should be done around the waterproofing tape during concrete casting.
