Usage Areas

• MegaZemin Z102 is used to achieve a smooth, homogenous and highly quality surface before the flooring materials (tiles, PVC, carpet, parquet, etc.) are laid on the cement-based surfaces and concrete surfaces indoors exposed to foot traffic. It is suitable for levelling damaged surfaces (horizontal indoor surfaces) ranged between 1-5 mm.

    Application Procedure

    • Application Surfaces
      Floor indoors;
      • Cement-based grout (MegaFilm primer applied)
      • Concrete (MegaFilm or MegaFilm BB primer applied)

      Surface Treatment :
      • Surface should be dry, clean, sound and dust-free and oil, dirt or foreign materials hindering adhesion should be removed off from the surface and articles such as mortar and cement remnants should be scraped off.
      • It should be applied in form of blocks to eliminate expansion and cracks caused by shrinkage.
      • Surface defects above 3 cm in depth should be repaired by using MegaTamir Grout repair grouts, which is fluid for 6 – 8 hours.
      • After cleaning the surface, the surface should be primed in one coat with MegaFilm primer to enhance adhesion strength and balance surface absorption and wait for 1 – 2 hours in order that it gets dry.
      • On the exposed concrete surfaces or in presence of cement-based concrete surface hardeners, the surface should be pried in one coat with MegaFilm BB exposed concrete primer to enhance adhesion strength prior to proceeding to application and wait for minimum 3 hours in order that it gets dry.

      Application Method :

      Application Method Textured System
      • MegaZemin Z102 surface levelling screed is poured on surface applied with MegaFilm or MegaFilm BB and wait for self-spreading.
      • Use spike roller or spike boots should be used in order that no air bubble remains inside the product and make it easy to spread.
      • It should be applied on the floor within 30 minutes after mixing.

      Application Recommendations :
      • After application of the product completes, you should cover by use of appropriate flooring materials depending on the dry-time.
      • After the product has been mixed, it should be used within the pot life. Never use any products with pot life during application.
      • Do not add any foreign materials such as lime, cement and gypsum in the mortar prepared.
      • Do not add extra water into the mixture.
      • The surface should be prevented against air draughts during and after application and the surface should be prevented from being in contact with water.
      • Do not apply on the surfaces having risk of frost, got frozen or thawing in the following 24 hours.
      • Be careful that the material should not be exposed to direct sunlight when the weather is hot and the mixture should be made with cold water.
      • On the hot surfaces which are excessively windy and exposed to direct sunlight, the application should not be made, if application is inevitable under such conditions, the environment and surface should be made ready in advance for application.

      Surface and ambient temperature
      Surface and ambient temperature should be in the range of +5°C and +35°C during application.
