• MegaZemin Z503; suitable for use in the places exposed to medium-heavy mechanical effects such as multi-story car park and underground car park, maintenance hangars; places where resistance to chemicals is required such as chemical manufacturing facilities and laboratories; places where aesthetics, easy maintenance and cleaning are expected such as shopping centres, fair and exhibition areas; places where hygiene and visual integrity are desired such as schools, hospitals and food facilities.     Application Procedure

    • Application Surfaces
      Indoor Wall;
      • Concrete (with primer MegaFilm A502 primer)
      • Cement based plaster (with primer MegaFilm A502 applied)
      Indoor Wall;
      • Surfaces with MegaZemin Z501 and MegaZemin Z502 applied (as line paint)

      Surface Treatment :
      • Surface should be dry, clean, sound and free of dust; oil, dirt or adhesion-hindering materials should be removed off from the surface; materials such as mortar and cement remnants should be scraped off.
      • Pressure strength of the concrete surface should be minimum 25 N/mm2 and tensile strength should be minimum 1,5 N/mm2.
      • Make sure the requirements of surface moisture relative humidity and dew point are fulfilled prior to application. Otherwise, the desire performance criteria of the product may not be obtained due to carbonization reaction to occur on the surface.
      • Humidity content of the surface should be maximum 4%.
      • Relative humidity should be maximum 80%.
      • Dew point should be above +3°C to prevent formation of condensation prior and after application.
      • New concrete structures should be kept dry for minimum 28 days.
      • Repair of surface defects more than 1cm in depth should be made with MegaTamir Epo 6 – 8 hour in advance.
      • After surface treatment, the surface should be primed in single of double coat depending on surface condition by means of primer MegaFilm A502 to increase adhesion strength and balance of surface absorbance. Floor levelling should be made by help of filling addition depending on surface porosity and structure. For surfaces with humidity up to 10%, it should be applied together with the primer MegaFilm İzo Epo; otherwise, application should not be performed.

      Application Method :

      Application Method Textured System
      • MegaZemin Z503 properly mixed should be applied by help of short-bristle roller or brush on the vertical surfaces and it should be applied with short-bristle roller after it is homogenously spread by help of trowel on the horizontal surface,
      • MegaZemin Z503 should be applied in a single or double coat depending on the need of surface and usage area.

      Application Recommendations :
      • Materials to be used to reduce adverse effects of thermal difference should be brought to the area of application 24 hours ago.
      • After completion of the application, the drying terms should be observed and ambient temperature and humidity should be kept under control throughout this term.
      • Mixing process should always be performed manually.
      • MegaZemin Z503 should not be diluted by means of thinner, water or any other thinning agent.
      • For the floor applications, levelness should be achieved to prevent water accumulation on the application surface.
      • After the product is mixed, it should be used prior to expiration of the pot life. Never use products with expired pot life during the application.
      • Never add any foreign material into the mixture during application other than the components of the product.
      • Do not add any filling material to the mixture.
      • It should not be applied on the unsound surfaces. Check the old surfaces for soundness and bearing capability prior to the application.
      • Surface should be protected against air currents and contact with water should be prevented during and after the application.
      • It should not be applied on any surface which is likely to get frozen in 24 hours or has risk of freezing or thawing.
      • Make sure the product is not exposed to direct sunlight when the weather is hot.
      • It should not be applied to the surfaces which are excessively windy or directly exposed to the sunlight; and if it is inevitable to apply it under such conditions, the environment and surface should be made proper for application.

      Surface and ambient temperature
      Surface and ambient temperature should be in the range of +10°C and +30°C.
      If required, the area should be heated by help of electric heaters. Use of heaters operating with burning system is not recommended as it may lead to contamination on the surface.
